Mikvé Israel "The hope of Israel"

Mikvé Israel "The hope of Israel"

"O Hope of Israel, who saves in the time of suffering" (Jeremiah 14:8)

The Prophet Jeremiah refers to the Creator as "Mikveh Israel" The Hope of Israel, Their Savior in difficult times..."
(In the Hebrew of the Holy Scriptures, the word Mikveh is translated as "hope")
The word Mikveh also means "ritual bath" used for spiritual purification.
Rabbi Nachman explains: That by immersing oneself in the waters of the Mikveh one receives the residue of the Divine Light that follows the experience of self-nullification.
Those are the "waters of salvation" from sufferings and afflictions, which cleanse us from all impurities:
When one "self-nullifies" by nullifying egoism, and personal desire, "the personal self", putting the Divine Will first.
This is how all difficulties, anxieties and worries disappear, as our Creator takes control.
Just as in the mikveh, "the ritual bath," we immerse ourselves in the waters and rid ourselves of all material possessions. (For the mikveh to be valid, the immersion must be performed completely free of all clothing or material possessions.)
Let us let go of "our ego" so that we can make room for Divine intervention "The Hope of Israel"
-In Hebrew, the word "immersion" (Tevilah) has the same letters as the word "annulment" (Bitul), because by immersing oneself in the Mikveh, one annuls all judgments against oneself, all evil spirits.
