Parasha Beshalaj 5783 "Shabat Shira"

Parasha Beshalaj 5783 "Shabat Shira"

The present Shabbat is known as "Shabbat Shira" (The Shabbat of singing) as we read the Parasha Beshalach from the book of Shemot (Exodus 13:17 - 17:16) where great and wonderful events are told to us, such as the parting of the sea, the fall of Manna from heaven, among others.

"Mana (Mana) and Teshuvah"

When Manna fell from the sky, various miracles occurred, such as what the great sages wrote (Mechilta Beshalach 16):
“For the righteous, the Manna fell at the door of their houses and even directly into their mouths, while for those who were not good people, they had to go out to look for it through the
field"
The Talmud (Yoma 75:) says that the Man revealed publicly
what was the real state of mind of each of the children of Israel.
Furthermore, the Midrash mentions that one of the miracles of the Manna was that it had the flavor each person desired; it also says that the more righteous the person who ate it, the more delicious it was to their palate. This means, then, that there were surely people who were dissatisfied with the Manna; the Manna itself exposed their sins.
This is striking because the reproach to the sinners was by publicly exposing "who they really were," thus making it known that those who were plagued by the Manan were a sign of hypocrisy. The Manan itself served to unmask those people who were not really what they appeared to be, but who in their innermost being were truly undesirable. To explain this better, we must first understand that normally when a person serves the Creator, he feels and believes that he is at the highest level, but the reality is not always that! Only HaShem truly knows the thoughts and the interior of our hearts. He truly knows how we are, and it is very difficult for one to judge oneself or even those close to us (loved ones) when one is part of or has interests or influences; one's perspective on things will never be impartial.
For that same reason it is neither useful nor appropriate to try to reproach him.
To someone who appears to be doing the right thing, that person can hardly accept what is said to him, as our Sages said.
(Abot 4, 4) "Whoever commits a fault or sin in secret, heaven will punish him publicly." in the same way that the Man acted, and
I can say that I have seen that personally.

It means that this was the secret of the Man, it entered the viscera and examined the heart from the inside, only those who
Those who accepted the yoke of the Torah had the merit of receiving it, and according to the spiritual level reached, it was the pleasure that came from eating it, coinciding with what our sages taught us "The Torah has seventy facets." And precisely for that reason the only one who could know exactly who was going to eat it
on the right path and whoever was not, it was the Man!, and for that reason those who were on the wrong path complained saying (Bamidbar 11, 6):
“And now our souls have dried up, we have nothing but Mana” By saying this they showed that they did not want to get out of their erroneous situation, they no longer desired that heavenly food that marked their errors.
We must know that the evil instinct never attacks head-on, it always does so in a cunning and deceitful manner, instead of confronting us it takes our side and makes us feel that we are doing the right thing by fulfilling the Mitzvot (precepts) and respecting the Torah, and in this way it contaminates us, making us feel proud and deserving of honor. But our duty is to be attentive to it and not let bad instinct take control of our feelings since that is the beginning of the great twilight, it begins by making us feel that it is on our side and gradually leads us to its position by impurifying our mind and our heart, giving us the feeling that we are fine, since that is our external image, but inside it has us absolutely dominated, as it says in the Talmud (Shabbat 105) “Such is the work of the evil instinct, today it tells you do this, tomorrow that, until it tells you go and serve the
idols.”
Those who know how to take care of themselves remain vigilant and aware that they still have many things to do to reach the level of our ancestors. In this way, they will always live on the rise.
In that generation there was Moshe who had the ability to know and interpret each person, even what they had hidden inside their hearts, but given his humility and the great affection and love he felt for his people, he did not expose them, that is why
HaShem gave the Man that difficult task, to help those who
Externally they looked like they were, but internally they still had many things to repair.
As a result of this, many of those who felt perfect and
This is how they showed themselves to society, when the Manan made it evident to them that they were still prisoners of their evil instinct, they reacted wrongly, accusing the "Heavenly Bread" of being unjust or incorrect, protesting and despising the food! On the other hand, those who were truly righteous accepted the reproach with joy, knowing well that this indicator was the best way to reach absolute correction. I have already commented on another occasion that this guide today can be found in books of ethics and conduct. Fortunate those who had the Manan, what remains for us then is to turn to the great books of ethics, Hasidism, to the stories of Tzadikim and their biographies, in this way we can realize where we are going, and what is the correct direction and path to take.

Dedicated to the healing of all the sick in Am Israel and throughout the world.
May we soon see the Great Redemption in our days!
